The Leader Who Doesn’t Lead
Blog 19: The Studio Era - a reclaimed life in real time. A medley of presence, color, and the return of creative rhythm.
I'm not leading. But, I'm here.
And that distinction matters more than I realized until I spent decades inside spiritual communities, watching the patterns from both sides.
You know the rhythm. The endless content designed to lure you in - free this, exclusive that, limited-time activation. The precise choreography of FOMO that gets you reaching for solutions before you even know what the problem is. One more healing tool. One more practice. One more breakthrough that's finally going to make the difference this time.
I've been the seeker convinced that if I just found the right modality, the right mentor, the right frequency upgrade, everything would click into place. And I've also been the seasoned practitioner learning how to create containers, build anticipation, deliver transformation.
Here's what I have witnessed first-hand:
Many of these leaders are genuinely gifted at getting you inside their world. Their marketing approach is so refined, so targeted, that you can feel yourself being drawn in before you even realize what's happening.
But once you're inside? Something shifts.
The dynamic presence that attracted you isn't there anymore. It's like watching paint dry. They're reading from a script, delivering insights instead of living them.
And then there’s the spiritual authority bullshit. Someone takes one course and boom, they're a "transformational business empowerment mentor."
The way people worship these teachers like they can do no wrong. And while some don't ask for that devotion, their energy invites it anyway.
I stepped away from all of it.
However, I do value community - my chart literally requires people for resources.
Yet, there's a difference between holding authentic space and performing spirituality.
Between resonance and manufactured following.
What arrived instead was a deep exhale in my system.
The shapeshifting to fit a certain image or talk a certain way to sell something or belong somewhere - no more. Responding to manufactured urgency that says you need to sign up NOW or miss out forever - done.
Right now…
Grounded sovereignty.
I write what is.
I don't try to teach you the huge lessons of "I went through this trauma so now I know this thing and can heal it for you or teach it to you."
Or coaxing for vulnerable comments, so I can use them as copy and content in my next course.
I allow my reflections to just be, and create a field of resonance that lets others feel into their own truth.
This isn't the absence of leadership.
It's leadership from a different frequency entirely.
When I hold space now, I'm not asking you endless questions that rack your brain for the "right" answers.
I'm not excavating your blocks or selling you a system to fix what's broken. Or, turning my story into your curriculum or my healing journey into your hope.
I'm curating.
Creating containers - through words, seasonal offerings, and this space itself -
where recognition can happen without direction.
Where you can find your own reflection without needing me to hold up the mirror.
People still come closer.
But I'm not guiding them toward anything specific.
I hold steady.
They find their own truth reflected back.
The paradox is this:
The clearer I become in my own field, the more permission others feel to inhabit theirs.
Real leadership?
It creates more sovereignty, not less.
Space-holding that actually works invites recognition -
It doesn't beg for followers.
This approach is slower.
Most won't go this route because they want to create urgency, manufacture scarcity, build followers fast.
But what I'm offering asks for feeling, and the body is slower.
This is about embodiment…felt experience, not formulas and how-to's.
It's soul reclamation through emotional presence, and it can't be taught through conventional methods.
Which is my challenge, since the entire industry is built on those methods.
But it's also my path.
I built a space that holds this:
I’m not calling it a movement or a method.
I’m naming it a living field where presence meets presence.
Where nothing needs to be fixed, taught, or transformed.
If you're tired of being sold solutions or having your wisdom reframed as someone else's expertise, this field might feel familiar.
Stay. Welcome in if this frequency feels like home.
But always trust what's yours first.
The summer work lives inside this zone.
Love,
Sherry

About the Author:
Sherry writes from the space between dimensions - where presence meets paradox, and mastery gives way to meaning. With a background in metaphysical work and energetic healing that spans decades, her voice carries the imprint of lived wisdom - as an invitation versus a doctrine.
Her blog, It Exists (For Now), moves fluidly across themes of transformation, embodiment, remembrance, identity, purpose, and the quiet revelations of everyday life. This is not the kind of writing to teach you, fix you, or convert you. It’s a space to feel, question, soften, and come home to what’s already here.
Whether she’s naming what’s unraveling beneath the surface or tracing the shimmer of wonder returning, her words are less about offering answers and more about walking with you through the liminal. The words hold a frequency that are felt long after they are read.
Such a great read!! I've seen soooo much of this too in the online industry. This feels way more authentic and true. You're exactly right... "real leadership, creates more sovereignty, not less". That right here, that's the real real!! Thank you for shedding light where it absolutely needs to be and leading by example! We need more of this. 🩷
